I've had the NTC for about a week now. It's definitely an improvement over the Hercules DJ console Mk2 i have, it doesn't look like a toy, it's better spaced out, has better buttons. It has controls (when using with Cue/VDJ) dedicated to scrolling through playlists, choosing & adjusting samples and effects, So there is now only occasional needs to use your computers keybord/mouse... which is a good thing! I would say the the faders could be better, for example on the pitch faders there is slight movement on them left to right, which doesn't effect the overall fade, but it just doesn't feel solid. The fader arms can easily be bent, so be careful! VDJ or Cue (VDJ branded)is a brillaint piece of software and this controller does a great job of emphasising that and helping you get the most out of it. As mentioned in a previous review, it is a controller only, so no inputs, outputs, or headphone sockets, for this you need a 4.1 soundcard or Numark DJ i/o, or you can do what i do and use my Hercules Mk2 as the sound card, which has the Deck A,Deck B, Mix & Split headphone settings. Summary: Not the completely professional solution i was hoping for, but a big step in the right direction.
